The Trust and Safety team keeps YouTube growing and successful. We are dedicated to supporting the company's growing base of users, advertisers, publishers in more than 40 languages on a global basis, and providing them with the highest levels of service. Our team members are proactive, motivated, organized, and possess a global perspective - they are able to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

As part of YouTube Trust and Safety and as a reviewer of sensitive, sometimes controversial content, you will be directly responsible for making the internet safer, protecting free speech and defending our brand. You are passionate about cutting-edge policy developments and applications in a digital age.

The YouTube team helps budding creators build careers, creates products like YouTube Kids, YouTube Music, and YouTube Gaming, and engages communities around shared passions and global conversations. Together, we empower the world to create, broadcast, and share.

Review escalated video content daily by the user community; analyze content for potential violation of YouTube’s Community Guidelines.
Minimize uncertainty through quantitative insights.
Work non-standard hours on a rotational basis to handle policy escalations, which require immediate resolution, from both internal and external stakeholders.
Travel as required.

Minimum qualifications:

BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
1 year of experience reviewing content for an online platform.
Ability to speak and write in English and Arabic fluently and idiomatically.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience working with international issues across multiple geographies, including freedom of expression, child safety and/or online controversial content.
Experience with spreadsheets, databases, SQL and data analysis.
Experience working in an operations-oriented organization.
Demonstrated methodical skills in applying policy to online content, while making accurate judgment calls with respect to appropriate and violative content.
Effective problem-solving, critical thinking and attention to detail in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
